The Overnight Veterinary Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the continued care and comfort of hospitalized patients during non-business hours. This position involves working independently or with a limited team to monitor, treat, and support patients overnight when the hospital is closed to the public. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a quiet, self-directed environment.
Candidates must be able to work rotating shifts, Holidays and Weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and care for hospitalized patients, including administering medications, fluids, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
- Update medical records with observations, treatments, and progress
- Respond to in-hospital emergencies and follow protocols for triage and urgent treatments like CPR and emergency surgery.
- Perform lab work and diagnostic testing
- Ensure patient comfort through appropriate bedding, feeding, walking (if stable), and enrichment as directed
- Perform routine check-ins of attached lodging facility and address any alarming behaviors.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennels, treatment areas, and medical equipment
- Prepare treatment areas, restock supplies, and ensure readiness for morning staff
- Communicate any patient changes or concerns in detailed hand-offs to the daytime team

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care for the animals, including feeding, cleaning, and exercising.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas.

- Assist with basic grooming tasks, such as brushing and bathing.
