When your pet needs prompt medical attention, waiting days for an appointment isn't an option. At Limerick Veterinary Hospital, we provide dedicated urgent care and same-day appointment slots to ensure your pet receives fast, compassionate treatment when unexpected illness or injury arises.
When to Seek Urgent Care
Our urgent care services bridge the gap between routine wellness care and full-scale emergency hospital care. We recommend same-day evaluation for:
- Sudden illness, vomiting, or diarrhea
- Minor cuts, lacerations, or sudden limping
- Ear infections, skin flare-ups, or severe itching
- Minor bites, stings, or allergic reactions
- Urinary tract issues or discomfort
- Sudden lethargy or loss of appetite
How Same-Day Appointments Work
To help minimize wait times and give every pet the attention they deserve, please call us as soon as possible. While we reserve dedicated daily appointments for urgent cases, calling ahead allows our care team to triage your pet's needs over the phone and prepare for your arrival.
If your pet is experiencing a life-threatening emergency (such as severe trauma, collapse, or major breathing difficulty), please contact us immediately so we can prepare our medical team for your arrival or direct you to the nearest 24/7 emergency center.
