Requirements

We request that all pets entering the hospital be restrained on a leash or held in a carrier. We recommend that dogs and cats receive annual physical examinations as a preventative medical procedure and when necessary, have the appropriate vaccinations. All pets undergoing surgery will have a pre-operative physical examination performed.

Hospitalization

Pets scheduled for surgery or dental work are usually admitted the morning of the scheduled procedure with instructions for no food and water after 9:00 PM the night before. Preliminary blood work is highly recommended before undergoing anesthesia.
